BYU: Provo Admission - What do they look for?

The average GPA is 3.8 and the average ACT is 28. Ethnicity and a diverse origin might give you a leg up, but mostly when you're being compared to others with similar academic qualifications. Work on keeping your GPA up, and I'm sure you'll be fine.
