How do I get saved, or at least know that I am saved?

I did everything I was "supposed" to. I confessed my sins and I prayed to be saved. for him to come into my heart. I could feel tears coming, but I don't FEEl saved. But I want to be saved, I really do. Can someone please help? Oh and please don't comment if you're atheist, and try to prove god isnt real. But really I need help!
