Do only extroverts survive in professional field..?

I'm student of some corporate profession. I'm usually of quiet type, ambivert,, and i never ever had urge for competition right from childhood.. and i never compared myself to any one..cos i thought " I'm me".. the tendency to be at top,to be recognised, praised etc were never within me..but i do have the self respect, ego , and not-to-be bogged down /bossed up feature.....I speak at tyms i think i must..... i had sm "childhood issues".....my whole childhood had been a lonely and sopiled one...which is why i think i'm lyk this...I just wanna know .. can such ppl lyk me survive in profession...??? If yes then how to establlish myself among those who are speakers and extros..do these extros make fun of ppl lyk me..??
