Should I let her know?

I used to be close with someone till we split apart due to a reason. Then I told her I liked her, but she didn't like me back. I never told her why we split apart or the fact that I did miss her when we didn't talk. I always cared about her and always will cause I know my feelings are true. I feel like if I confess to her again about how I feel it will make things even more awkward. But I can't help it but hold my thoughts back.
