Did Margaret Thatcher do more bad than good?

In my local area it seems very much like she did do quite a lot of bad, and i'm reading a book at the minute that's based in Ireland (Bog Child) and it seems very negative towards Thatcher so I'm wondering if she really did do as much bad as people make out or if it was just some areas that suffered.
