Is BYU Independent Study easy?

I am a high school student and failed a semester of Alegbra ll so I need to take it over during the summer. I came across BYU Independent Studies and I was wondering is it worth the money and is it easy? I do not want to fail the same course again. All answers would be very helpful thankss :)
